An Indian Summer walk

Jacob and Carter were the first out the door to go.
I told Abbie the sky was pink for her.

Look at all those leaves on the ground and the light reflecting off the water.

I commented that nature is beautiful, it's my favorite thing.
Carter replied, "but not as good as me and Abbie huh mom."
When I said good-night to Carter tonight he said, "Mom, I love you as long as I'm on earth and as long as the car runs." Lately he's been into telling me just exactly how much he loves me. I think it's pretty fun.

Why Jacob is soo fun and easy to love.

There are soo many reasons Jacob is so fun to love. First he's just so stinkin cute. His chubby little soft cheeks, legs, feet, hands, and tummy are so fun to kiss.
He has the best little giggle. He smiles whenever I do. He likes to be held, but is ok to be set down alot. He puts both arms around my neck and hugs me back tightly when I hug him. He plays with my hair with one hand when I'm holding him. I love how he sticks his little tongue out and smiles at everyone.

He puts up with so much stuff, including this hot penguin costume.

I especially love how darling he is when he sucks his thumb. All the time by the way.

He is just so happy all the time. He's a fun baby. Man I love this kid.

p.s.-Abbie noticed he is warm alot and said, "Jakey's a hot baby from heaven, huh mom."

The Barneys visit

Thanks to Betsy, I can start posting again.
The subway in NYC-Carter's favorite part of the day.
The Girls :)

Abbie and Whitney ipodding on our drive to New York.

We had a fun visit with the Barney family. The drive to the waterfall might have been better than the falls. It was a colorful, leafy, autumn drive.

The kids first time in New York.

This is all made out of legos.

Rockefeller Square

Goodbye at the airport. We had a great time with all of you!

Jacob is 5 months old.

Abbie is such a sweet sister. I came down stairs about a week ago and found her rocking her teddy bear and singing him songs. I asked her what her teddy's name was and she said," Jake".

I can't believe it's already been 5 months since Jakey was born.

He is such a cuddly little guy.

What a silly boy! We sure love this little guy!

Carter loved his first day of kindergarten

Carter eating his breakfast on the special red plate. He was awake very early awaiting the day with great anticipation.
Carter all ready with backpack before we left for school.

Carter in line with his class in front of the school.

The door suprise after school. I got this fun idea from my friend in Utah.

Carters favorite part of the day was the bus ride home. Abbie and I were so excited to see him and hear all about his big day.

Our summer night adventure

We decided to go on a little adventure tonight and drove to a pretty lake Spencer found. We were hoping for a trail to ride bikes around or rollerblade but were happy to find a little beach area with these swings.
We got there right as the sun was setting.

Today we also did these summer collages.

Carter drew this by himself during a quiet time a few days ago for me. I was amazed at how good it was.
